CIS ROBOGRIZZLIES
Over the past two years, the RoboGrizzlies at CIS have grown into a thriving 2 robotics program, engaging students in VEX 123, GO, IQ, and V5 platforms. Teams have earned top awards at local and national tournaments, including Excellence and Design Awards, and qualified for the VEX World Championships. With a strong focus on engineering, coding, and collaboration, RoboGrizzlies fosters future-ready skills and a passion for innovation, making it one of CIS’s most dynamic and successful extracurricular programs.
At CIS, we believe robotics should be exciting, challenging, and open to all learners. In just two years, our programme has grown to over 130 students—thanks to our commitment to keeping robotics engaging and accessible. We offer four progressive platforms: VEX 123, VEX GO, VEX IQ, and VEX V5. Each year is shared between two platforms, allowing beginners to enter at a lower level while giving experienced students the chance to move up. This flexible approach ensures every student finds the right challenge, gains new experiences, and continues developing their skills in a way that matches their confidence and ability. Whether you’re new to robotics or ready for global competition, our pathway has a place for you.

The IDEA Lab is the heart of hands-on learning at CIS—a space where students dream, design, and build with purpose. Equipped with laser cutters, CNC routers, 3D printers, robotics systems, woodworking tools, and digital media studios, it’s a place where creativity and technology come together.
